My girl Sam came down for a visit these past few weeks, so we took off to some beaches on the Nicoya Peninsula and then escaped to the mountains in Monteverde and La Fortuna for a taste of Costa Rica outside of the greasy city center. There were so many characters and mini adventures during the past 2 weeks. Everything below just about sums it up.

Post rain stroll through the streets of La Fortuna. Normally you can see CR's most active volcano, Arenal, but it was too cloudy that day.
Hummingbirds at The Gardens aren't afraid to come out and feed. They drink a mixture of sugar and water that resembles nectar.
